BOY’S GYMNASTICS ASSOCIATION

CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE I: NAME

SECTION 1: The name of this corporation is Northern California Boy’s Gymnastics Association, hereinafter referred to as N.C.B.G.A.

ARTICLE II: PURPOSE

SECTION 1: The purpose of the N.C.B.G.A. shall be to:

Follow and abide by the rules, policies, and guidelines set forth by U.S.A. Gymnastics.

Formulate rules, policies, and guidelines for N.C.B.G.A. Member Clubs to abide by.

Serve as a coordinating body for private club competitive boy’s gymnastics in Northern California.

Hold N.C.B.G.A. Board meetings and N.C.B.G.A. General membership meetings.

Establish a seasonal competitive meet schedule.

Distribute Zone, Associate, and Board Member Rosters.

Sponsor clinics for the improvement of gymnastics instruction.

Oversee, by means of a Board Member, any N.C.B.G.A. sponsored competitions such as Zone Championships, State Championships, etc.

Communicate to the General Membership by means of a newsletter.

Update and distribute a Handbook to all members.

Generate funds, by means of annual membership fees, to pay for, or subsidize, any N.C.B.G.A. sponsored even or other expenses incurred by N.C.B.G.A.

Perform any other function N.C.B.G.A. feels will enhance boy’s gymnastics in Northern California.

SECTION 2: It will be the obligation of all members to abide by the U.S.A.G. rules and policies, and obligations adopted by, and for, N.C.B.G.A.

SECTION 3: This association is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes.

ARTICLE III: GEOGRAPHICAL AREA

SECTION 1: N.C.B.G.A. shall include all of Northern California from the Oregon boarder to the north, to the boundaries of San Luis Obispo and Fresno in the south, and from the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Nevada borderline in the east.

ARTICLE IV: MEMBERSHIP & DUES

SECTION 1: Membership is open to those clubs and individuals in Northern California who register in one of the following types of memberships: (1) Club Membership, (2) Associate Membership, or (3) Athlete Membership.

SECTION 2: Club Membership. To receive a Club Membership the following requirements and obligations must be fulfilled to receive the following privileges:

Payment of annual dues per club. Send Club Membership Form found in N.C.B.G.A. Handbook to the N.C.B.G.A. Treasurer.

U.S.A.G. Professional membership.

One Club Membership per club will be entitled to:

1. One vote per club.

2. One copy of all N.C.B.G.A. printed material any time it comes out.

3. Privilege of competing gymnasts in N.C.B.G.A. sponsored competitions.

SECTION 3: Associate Membership. To receive a Associate Membership the following requirements and obligations must be fulfilled to receive the following privileges:

Payment of annual dues per club. Send Associate Membership Form found in N.C.B.G.A. Handbook to the N.C.B.G.A. Treasurer.

One Club Membership per club will be entitled to:

One copy of all N.C.B.G.A. printed material any time it comes out.
