Vince commented on the awesome job the coaches in our State are doing. There seems to be many more clubs turning out better and better gymnasts. A special Thanks goes out to Steve Klotz for a great job hosting Optional States. Nor Cal just looks better each year.
Check out the website: www.region3men.org/jopc/AGCCOpening.htm
Look for Karen to enter Regional qualifiers and to size All Star Team members.
Eric handed out a brief budget report. There was much discussion on the bank we are using and logistics of keeping and/or changing banks. There was also discussion on who currently has access to the accounts and who should have acess.
Dan Wood (Vice-Chair)- Dan apologized for what he deemed being: not as on top of things this year. Had some issues with the company we use for awards but things seem to be OK now.
Michelle Telega- Our Zone would like to have the State Qualification system reviewed and changed to make hosting the qualifier more financially viable to clubs.
Jess Lopez- Things are going good.
Eric Van der Meer- Thanks to Rohnert Park for hosting Zones. Eric submitted a proposal from Bob Rikli to develop an award to the year’s best meet host.
Rick Weaver- Rick is the new Zone Rep for Zone 4.
Hiroshi gave an update. Look for info on the NCBGA website.
1. State Meets and qualification system
2. Possible Late Fees for championship meets
3. Recommend to Regional Board to take to USAG to raise qualifying fees to match girls (i.e. $50 for Zone and $75 for State). Possibly consider different costs to different states and regions.
4. Recommend to Regional Board that Regional schedule to change to Friday through Sunday with Sunday competition to conclude by 3:00 pm.
Minutes will need to be reviewed and compared to current Rules and Policies to make sure all information is current.
Bob Rikli’s proposal was briefly discussedand will be voted upon at the next General meeting.
Motion by Dave Peterson to have Zone and State entries payable at the beginning of the competition
