Friendly Reminders

1. All athletes must be NCBGA Registered they are to compete at Zone and State Championships. Send $5/gymnast with registration form to NCBGA Treasurer Vicki Romano.

2. All coaches must be USAG Safety Certified to participate at State Championships! Contact Dave Moskovitz at 415-721-0904 for course dates.

3. Clubs Hosting Competitions: A copy of the USAG Sanction and the $1/gymnast Head Tax must be sent to the State Chairman within 48 after the completion of the competition.

4. Qualifying Scores: You will be informed of more details after the February 21st NCBGA Board Meeting.

Zone To State Championships:

Class VII-V: NCBGA Qualifying System (Found in NCBGA Handbook)

2nd Qualifier To State Championships:

Class VII-V: To be determined by State Board

State To Region 1 Championships:

Class VI-V: Based of % of athletes in each State. To be determined by the Regional Board.

Class IV-II: To be determined by Regional Board (Last year: 39.0)

Class I: To be determined by Regional Board (Last year: 40.0)

Region 1 Championships To National Championships:

Class III (12-13): 46.5

Class II: 43.0

Class I: 44.5

5. Zone Meeting: Your Zone Representative will conduct a meeting at your Zone Championship. He will pass on information to you that he picked up from our NCBGA Board meeting. Also Zone Rep. elections are to take place at Zone Championships each year.

Region 1 Future Stars Camp

The State Future Stars Camp, held at High Sierra Gymnastics, was a very educational experience for the gymnasts and coaches who participated. A special thanks to Roger and Debbie Baldwin for hosting and organizing this regional event at their gym.

Greg Corsiglia did a great job compiling the camps content and overseeing its implementation. Roger Baldwin, Hiroshi Fujimoto, Deon Jonutz, Bill Miller, Paul Odez, and Eli Rodriguez all did a outstanding job coaching the gymnasts. Those involved in the inception of this event, agree to strive to make this event a Region 1 tradition.
