Treasurer Report – Hiroshi was not able to provide a detailed report at this time. He is having difficulties opening Quicken
Ron – The routines are all new, learn them, call if you have questions.
Eric – Update your information on the website, Send him an email.
Michelle (Zone 1)- Nothing really, look for FIG course info on the website.
Jess (Zone 2)- Jess is now at Extreme Gymnastics.
Rob (Zone 3)- Things are going well.
Rick(Zone 4)-No
Dan- New medals have the NCBGA logo. Level 4’s will still have achievement ribbons at States.
Future Stars Update
State Testing is Sept. 12 in Santa Cruz. Regional Testing is in Mesa AZ at Mike Nadduor’s gym. Regional Camp is Oct 23-24 in Reno. The top 24 2A, 6 2B, 12 3A and 6 3B qualify to camp.
Calendar Update
Any clubs interested in hosting a meet MUST contact the State Chairman BEFORE the meet can be posted on the website. Judges will be sent to the competitions based on a first-come-first-serve basis per weekend. Meet Bids/Requests may be received as early as June 1 for the next season.
Banquet Update
Please push attendance at this year banquet. It will be held May 22, possibly at Coyote Creek Gold Course. Specific information will be handed out ASAP. We will be trying a different format this year. The Awards Ceremony will be during a brunch prior to the golf tournament. This is a very special event for all of our Seniors and award recipients so put it on your calendars and get everyone out to support Nor Cal gymnastics.
Level 8
There will be a meeting of the JOPC the weekend of Sept 11 to decide if Level 8’s will be taken to Nationals. At the State and Regional levels the top 4 event scores will determine score the All Around. There will be 2 age groups: 14-15 and 16+.
By a show of hands the State approved Vince to take the recommendation of adding a 12-13 age group to Level 8.
Region 1 Congress
Please send any requests or suggestions to Chere` to help make Reg 1 Congress more appealing/productive for men’s gymnastics. She really want to make this the best gymnastics learning experience for everyone but need our input to do that.
Regional Update
Level 5: At Regionals, individual awards will be divided by 7-8, 9, 10-11, & 12+
At States, individual awards will be divided by 7, 8, 9, 10-11, & 12+
Qualifying and Team will remain by the standard age groups
Regional Championships Quota and Schedule
The quota system and session schedule was reviewed briefly.
Motion: Zane motions to have Vince make a recommendation on the behalf of
Nor Cal to not have a quota system for National Qualification. Or to have a fail-safe system in place to make sure qualified athletes who are in strong regions don’t get left behind.

State Championships
The 2 proposals were presented and discussed. Proposal number 2 was amended to include a board review and possible adjustment of the qualifying score at each Level by February 1. (Motion by Zane, Seconded by Hiroshi)
Proposal 1 Vote: 11 for 13 against FAILED
Proposal 2 Vote: 15 for 7 against PASSED
Please review the proposal and be sure your meet directors know to send in the meet results to the webmaster and State Chair.
New Business
Derrik Grahm reiterated the importance of getting new clinician suggestions for Reg 1 congress.
